MEET BRITT

My Story

I’m so glad you’re here!

I’ve always had a passion for health and fitness! I graduated with a Bachelors degree from the University of Utah in Exercise Sports Science and Nutrition in 2013, and soon after I launched my training business. It wasn’t until I went through my own infertility journey with Hypothalamic Amennorrhea (You can read more about that here), that I realized there was more to health than just working out and diets. I’ve experienced the effects of poor hormone health during my 2 year journey of trying to get pregnant, and know what it takes to balance both. My specialty is incorporating this knowledge into my hormone-friendly approach to fitness and fuel.

After experiencing a traumatic emergency c-section in my first pregnancy, my passion for Pre & Postnatal training took off. Since then, I have received my Pre- /postnal training certification through Girls Gone Strong, and have been blessed with another baby girl from a successful VBAC delivery.


OLD MINDSET

I’ve done the extreme fitness thing. I’ve been a slave to the gym. I’ve been 8% body fat. I’ve restricted carbs and calories. From the outside I looked “healthy”, and I was praised for my discipline. I will tell you now, what looks healthy on the outside, is not always healthy on the inside.

My body was sick. I was infertile, no libido, always cold, anxious, thinning hair, lack of mental space & energy for things other than food & exercise, and never satisfied with my body, it was never enough.

NEW MINDSET

I now know health is so much more than the number on the scale, or body fat percentage. I believe you can show up for yourself each and every day, pursuing health, without running yourself into the ground (and messing up your hormones in the process). True health considers mental health, along with physical health that can be sustained through all different seasons and chapters of life.

Let’s ditch the extremes, and get healthy for the long haul!

My Specialty

With my experiences from two very different pregnancies, I have experienced firsthand many of the symptoms I work through with my clients. Let’s work together to find the right breathing strategies and execution of exercises to help you heal postpartum, and enjoy long term health.

I love helping women realize they can return to a strong and functional body after having kids!

I love helping women find an appreciation for their amazing bodies, and encourage functional goals rather than scale-based goals!

In my free time I love to surf, play tennis, hiking, biking, playing soccer, and handstand contests! I love to cook, and I’m a sucker for homemade sourdough bread.

Postpartum specific

A specialized training experience for new mommas. This training guide is a semi-customizable, at-home program that will take you from birth to 6-months postpartum. The goals is to get you back into exercise and doing the things you love without pain and injury. The program is split into 4 phases (recover, rehab, regain strength, and restore confidence).
